AARP and dimantling Medicare with the pill bill

The huge pill bill came out of committee only on Thursday and there was a big rush to get a vote by Thanksgiving even though it would not take effect until January, 2006.

I watched Cspan as much as possible and it was all sickening to me. I am going to send in the pre-paid registration AARP sent me asking me to join. Aftraid not there AARP. You played a vital role in what is the beginning of dismantling Medicare and yet another raid on the public treasury.

What was the rush when it was a matter of life and debt?

This latest bill is certainly a terrible thing. Only the drug companies will profit from it - and that is why it was passed.

If only our leaders had to rely on the same medical care as the rest of us. We'd see some massive reform then.

I really agree with you on this new medicare bill, I am really nervous about it and have written my senators in Wash. D.C and in Columbia. I must say I do NOT understand it all and wish I knew more about it.
I have tried to understand what they say about it but it is all greek to me. So far I have not figured it out but I figure I have time, it doesn't go into effect until 2006, maybe by then I will know what it all means.
