I really, really hate to say it but all the television news sucks. The news on the Internet is far more revealing than what any news channels say on the evening news.
I have been on the Internet for about 3 years and now I see things completely different. What about anyone else. How long have you been on the Internet and where do you choose your news.
In case I have not mentioned it, I am for the impeachment of Bush. It is the truly patriotic thing to do,

Oldtimer, I agree with you in regard to the news. I can hardly blame people for not having a clue about what's going on when the only place they get their news is the TV. On the other hand, if they really cared they could go online. I get my news from AP, UPI, and (mainly) the BBC.
I lived in Europe for a few years and I found that the BBC is a breath of fresh air. They are not affiliated in any way with the government and they are not dependent on ratings or sponsors to stay on the air. In other words, they can (and do) give out real news, not the sanitized politically-correct pablum we get over here from the major networks.
I'm in agreement with you in regard to Bush, also. The only thing is, I don't believe there are any legal grounds for impeachment. But I do believe that we all get what's coming to us, and that we have to answer to a higher law.

I AGREE WITH BOTH OF YOU! Especially on the impeachment of Bush. As far as grounds for impeachment...how about LYING to Congress AND the American people! That's what they tried to hang Clinton with, and these lies are a lot more serious! Clinton's lies were to hide PERSONAL things, and they still tried to lynch him! Bush's lies are a matter if international foreign policy that resulted in us declaring WAR on another nation! Really makes you wonder (and fear) just how far some of this crap will be allowed to go! I mean, how bad does it have to get? How far down can one man be allowed to drag the country before people wise up? I could go on and on here about my problems with Mr. Bush (all the way back to the so-called election and about a hundred things since!). My latest reason to despise him was when a reprteer recently asked him how he could spend 17 million dollars on his primary re-election campaign (with the economy in the shambles it's in), his reply... WATCH ME! Us poor folks gotta start raising some hell here! If our votes mean as much as the rich man's (and there are a lot more of us poor folks) then why are they calling all the shots?

Its obvious you folks watch too much of the liberal biased news! President Bush is the best thing to come along since Ronald Regan ! What specificaly has Your President(BUSH) lied about? If you can give me one lie he has told, I will never support him again. You people need to stop being brainwashed by CNN (clinton news network) ABC (atheist broadcasting company) >:(and NBC (Nothing but clinton) Watch Fox news or listen to Rush Limbaugh ;D, and get the truth about what really goes on, instead of the biased liberal trash that is slowly bringing America to its knees!

Redneck, you are a trip. I remember your kind during the Vietnam war. You were 100% behind the war effort right up until the major news channels decided it was a bad idea. Then you completely reversed your opinions and acted like you'd always been against the war.
Until that point, though, the rest of us were "bleeding heart liberals" and "communist sympathizers." You wanted us to get out of the country if we couldn't support our President and the war.
Plus ca change. . ..

No. There is legitimate cause for his impeachment. Boyle, a law professor at the University of Chicago, wrote some articles of impeachment even before the breach of international law that was the war and occupation of Iraq- www.counterpunch.org/boyle01172003.html CounterPunch.org is my favorite website for original content on the Internet. My favorite news clipping website is buzzflash.com Former Attorney General Ramsey Clark drafted his own articles of impeachment and they are available from this website- www.votetoimpeach.org/ Here is the direct link- www.votetoimpeach.org/articles_rc.htm Here is another website explaining the charges against Bush- www.thefourreasons.org/

Hey Redneck, You want 1 thing he's lied about? How about all those WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION!!!. You know...the VERY REASON that we declared war. (that's ONE) and the IMMINENT THREAT thing. Sadd**n
didn't have enough power to blow his own nose! And all the biological weaponry...you know if the guy had them he would have loosed them all! It was all bullsh*t! Then (other than all the war-related stuff) he said he was gonna stimulate the economy. I think we'd all agree that our poor economy has been about stimulated to death! We've gone from a balanced budget to the largest deficit in the history of the federal government, and you want to defend this man? Guess that's what politics is all about...but d**n
...how much more of this can even the rednecks take? Does anyone out there remember ENRON? Bush and Cheney were there up to their cruddy fat elbows! OLDTIMER...You got it dead on the money my friend!! Redneck don't got a clue!

I refuse to be brainwashed by the liberal media, so therefore, no matter what the "major news channels" say, I know the war was necessary. If that idiot in Iraq had been left in power, and would have pulled a stunt like 9/11, you would be screaming at the top of your lungs, "why didnt our government do something to prevent this from happening?" Theres no such thing as a happy liberal. Then you completely reversed your opinions and acted like you'd always been against the war. Until that point, though, the rest of us were "bleeding heart liberals" and "communist sympathizers." You wanted us to get out of the country if we couldn't support our President and the war. Still think that way today. Ask the dixie very *friendly* person
s how their album sales are today. How many movies has jihad jessica lange made since opening her pie hole. If you dont like the USA, Delta's ready when you are. Plus ca change. . ..

Sadd**n didn't have enough power to blow his own nose! And all the biological weaponry...you know if the guy had them he would have loosed them all! It was all bullsh*t! Wrong! The infomation came from British intelligence, who passed it on to US officials, and put it in the State of the Union address which Bush read. Their words, not Bush. Then (other than all the war-related stuff) he said he was gonna stimulate the economy. I think we'd all agree that our poor economy has been about stimulated to death! We've gone from a balanced budget to the largest deficit in the history of the federal government, and you want to defend this man? The economy started going down hill in March of 2000. Eight months before the election EGore tried to steal. Bush has been in office less than 3 years. It takes time to straighten out the mess that Klinton made in 8 years Guess that's what politics is all about...but d**n ...how much more of this can even the rednecks take? Does anyone out there remember ENRON? Bush and Cheney were there up to their cruddy fat elbows! Bush and Cheney were CEOs of enron? OLDTIMER...You got it dead on the money my friend!! 1. The ENTIRE WORLD heard Bush speak those words, where do you guys get off saying they're not his words? Get a clue! You may not believe what you read in the paper, or see on TV, but surely you would believe the words of the man you're defending! 2. You call the surplus and the thriving economy that Clinton left..a mess? And the stuff that Bush has done in his three years ..is straightening it out? You REALLY have a problem my friend! I bet you can't even balance your own checkbook. 3. No, Bush and Cheney were not CEOs of Enron, they were just the recipients of some of the cash that Kenneth Lay scarfed from the company and it's employees. Guess you'd be pleased as punch if the company you work for scammed you out of your entire retirement, your 401K and your benefits and gave it all to Your man Bush in hopes that they'd stick up for you when the truth came out huh?

You may not believe what you read in the paper, or see on TV, but surely you would believe the words of the man you're defending! You are right! Bush said those things. But you have to listen to both sides(not just the liberal media) to get the big picture. Bush DID NOT write the speech. As I said, the info came from The British intelegence, and his speech writers got it from them. Making sense now, or do you still want to see only one side of the story? 2. You call the surplus and the thriving economy that Clinton left..a mess? And the stuff that Bush has done in his three years ..is straightening it out? You REALLY have a problem my friend! I bet you can't even balance your own checkbook. My checkbook is fine, but thanks for the concern. Ronald Regan and George Sr. layed the foundation for the prosperity that klinton took credit for. (liberal media again) Ever heard of the trickle down theory? I have benn scammed by a previous employer. Not as in 401k and such. But I didn't blame it on a President who has nothing to do with it. If you think Mr. Bush is guilty of taking Enrons money, dont you think the democrats would be raising holy heck about it? It would be front page news on every liberal owned media source in the country. George Bush>>A President for ALL Americans.

So Bush isn't responsible for what came out of his mouth because someone else wrote it? Thanks for clearing that up. It makes me feel a lot better.

Redneck, At least you NOW admit that Bush DID make the statement (regardless of how you explain it away). You originally said they were not his words(in a post-still here for everyone to read). So what we have here is the same thing going on! Is that all republicans do? Make statements and then deny that they said it (didn't work for Oliver North either...remember?) And YES Bush did take Enron money in the form of massive campaign contributions and YES it WAS front page news dude. How the hell did you miss all that? As far as the economy...if you don't think Bush is responsible for the downward turn and our now massive deficit, you're just blind as a bat Redneck...simple as that! I'm tiring of this subject, but I always tire of conversation with someone who won't see reason and so easily dismisses the FACTS about a subject (again...republicans in general) Over and out!

Just one more thing...we might be guilty of watching too much of the "liberal-biased" news on TV, but what are you tuned into dude? The Cartoon Channel? On second thought, I bet it's CMT...and all those enlightening Toby Keith interviews!
